Education Department especially Adventist Christian education, although we support other educational institutions, our main focus is on Adventist Christian education of all levels throughout the world. From Adventist Elementary academies to colleges. There are many academies, to name a few local academies there are, San Diego Academy, National City, CA, Escondido Academy, Escondido, CA, La Sierra Academy, La Sierra CA, Redland Academy in Redland, CA. The colleges in the southern California are La Sierra College and Loma Linda Adventist University, one of the largest and most progressive Universities in the world. There are many other Academies and Colleges throughout the State of California, and in other States and Countries. We have one of the finest educational systems in the world, because we believe education has to do with the whole person, harmoniously working together with the physical, mental, and spiritual powers. Such an education strengthens the character, fortifies the mind spiritually which prepares the student for service in this world, and for service in the world to come. What education can be higher than this? What can equal in value? A famous writer stated, "The future of society will be determined by the youth of today." Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
The 31st Street Seventh-day Adventist church educational department is moving forward in a positive direction with Chairperson Edna B. Robinson, who is working diligently on the new tutorial program. The program is designed to help students in reading, math and English, and to motivate our students from the church who attend San Diego Academy, and all students within the community to help bring their academic level up, and to be the best that they can be in all areas.
There is also a Scholarship Committee for students who will pursue a Christian education after high school. The stipend is given to students for books or to help defray a portion of college expenses. If you need information concerning one of our Adventist Colleges or Universities, contact: Edna B. Robinson, Education Chairperson
