Our History 

The Thirty-first Street SDA Church, one of the oldest cultural institutions, had itsbeginnings with the establishment of the Beacon Light SDA Church in 1922. Prior to theformation of the Beacon Light SDA Church, San Diego's Adventists worshiped together at the"G" Street Church in downtown San Diego. The "G" Street Church, which later became the Broadway SDA Church, was a meeting place for Adventists of all races for a number of years before several of the members decided to form an African American congregation.   More >>

About Seventh-day Adventists

Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. More >>
